Shelli resides in Chattanooga, TN USA. She attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she received a Bachelors in Computer Science and was employed as a wide-area network engineer for NASA upon graduation. She resigned from her position in order to race motorcycles at club-level while living in Atlanta, GA. It was here that she taught herself web design and development. In 2003, Shelli would retire from racing to adopt an Arabian rescue horse, Ziggy, that would become a source of illumination in her life. After the death of her uncle due to lung cancer in 2013, Shelli decided to pursue painting, a passion from childhood. Shelli’s ongoing emotional commitment to Ziggy’s well being, also afflicted with cancer and a number of health and age-related issues, has manifested in her paintings and have become a significant motivator for her recent work.
