Beth's interests in painting the figure, women’s fashion, flowers, landscape photography and nature are carefully and simplistically intertwined in this new series of oil paintings. Beth creates a world where tangled swirls of beautifully colored flower petals encircle female figures in serene tonal landscapes. Successive moments in time play out as if the depicted woman has been captured in a time lapse; the sequence being carefully laid out for the viewer to enjoy visually as well as contemplate.
