Jennifer Bobola: American Abstract Expressionism Artist

Abstract Expressionism is considered to be, by most critics, the first American artistic movement. A shift motivated by New York’s MOMA’s exhibit in 1951, entitled “Abstract Painting in America”; developing a first generation of American Abstract painters born from European Modernism.
